Issuer Terms
Additional terms for schools, employers and other organizations that issue credentials on WorkPair.
Version 2026-10-05 · Last updated October 5, 2026 · WorkPair®, Inc.
1. Accuracy and authority
You issue only facts you know to be true, about people you have a real relationship with, using the record types WorkPair provides. Every credential is signed by a named, identity-verified signer at your organization; you make sure your signers are authorized to speak for you.
2. Keeping records right
- Correct or revoke a credential promptly when it is wrong or no longer true.
- Cooperate with WorkPair when a person disputes a fact you issued. [Counsel to confirm: dispute handling timelines (FCRA §623 furnisher duties if applicable)]
- Evaluations, grades and results are sealed by default: only the person (or, for a child, their guardians) can choose to share them.
3. People who aren’t on WorkPair yet
When you invite people (for example by uploading a roster), you confirm you may share their name and contact details with WorkPair for that purpose. WorkPair contacts them only about your invitation and deletes their contact details 90 days after the invitation ends if they don’t join. [Counsel to confirm: data processing agreement: WorkPair as your processor for roster data (GDPR Art. 28), and as independent controller for credentials held by people]
4. Schools and children
[Counsel to confirm: FERPA “school official” designation and use limits; COPPA school-authorization; state student-privacy laws (e.g. SOPIPA, NY Ed Law 2-d)]. Records about children can contain institutional facts and structured results only, never free-text comments; results are sealed and shared only with the guardians’ approval.
5. Fees and closing
Fees are on the Fees page. Answering a person’s own verification request is free. You can close your organization at any time from its Profile: issuing stops, API keys are revoked, links end and any remaining balance is refunded. Credentials already issued remain on people’s records as historical facts unless you revoke them first.
